Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday that the club raised over $84,000 in the fourth annual #BuckUp for Mental Health campaign supporting Covenant House Vancouver.
The campaign was the club’s most successful to date, surpassing 2016’s fundraising total by over $50,000.
Fans were able to support in a number of ways, including participating in an online auction featuring one-of-a-kind items and unique experiences or by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win a roundtrip flight for two people from WestJet. Congratulations to the lucky raffle winner of the WestJet roundtrip flight for two, Jonathon Catto!
Fans were also able donate at a pop-up ‘Caps car wash led by MLS and WFC2 players, at the ‘Caps match on June 3 versus Atlanta United FC, or online at whitecapsfc.
