Way back in March I did a very deep dive into the Vancouver Whitecaps first two games of the season. I promised an update at around the 10 game mark once there was more data available. Well we’re 9 games in and it seems that going deep on the whole team would be a bit of a waste. This is because the defence is pretty great. The Whitecaps are on pace to concede 45 goals this season. This would be a 22 goal improvement from 2018. They might even beat that if they manage to keep Ali Adnan and stop giving up absurd penalties.
