Spencer Richey called up for tonight's CONCACAF Champions League match at BC Place

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Tuesday that the club has signed USL goalkeeper Spencer Richey to a short-term agreement ahead of tonight's 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League group stage match versus Sporting Kansas City (7 p.m. PT at BC Place - tickets remain available).

Richey rejoins the team after the start in their tournament-opening 1-0 road win at Central FC earlier this month, registering a five-save shutout in his first-team debut.

The Seattle, Washington native is coming off his fifth win of the USL season last Sunday, collecting three saves to help Whitecaps FC 2 maintain a share of the top position in the Western Conference with a 3-1 win over Arizona United SC at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley.
