According to multiple media reports, including Marc Weber of The Province, the Vancouver Whitecaps have found their new striker, although it's far from a home run. Steve Goff from the Washington Post, Ives Galarcep from Goal, and now Weber have all reported the Whitecaps have acquired striker Fabian Espindola from D.C. United. The reports say Vancouver is giving up allocation money in return.
Espindola is certainly an MLS veteran, with 10 seasons experience under his boots. His career high came with DC United in 2014 when he scored 11 goals, but he played just 17 games in 2015 and ended the campaign with 5 goals.
