Fredy Montero reacquainted himself with his old team, Seattle Sounders, by scoring 2 goals to give the Vancouver Whitecaps the victory. Much has been written about Fredy’s first game against a team and fan base that still reveres his time spent in a Sounders jersey. Montero may have decided not to celebrate any goals he scored against his former team, but his loyalty ended there as he was the reason the ‘Caps won the game. He wasn’t the reason they didn’t lose the game, but without Fredy’s goals it’s doubtful any other Whitecaps player would have scored in his place.
