The Major League Soccer Players Union has released salary figures for the 2016 season, and in what's sure to be no surprise to any faithful follower of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Pedro Morales is the highest paid player on the team for the third straight year.
According to the numbers, the Whitecaps Captain will earn a total of $1,258,900 in guaranteed compensation for this season, well above Octavio Rivero, who's next at $890,850. It's a bit of a dip for Morales, who earned over 1.4 million dollars in guaranteed compensation last year.
