I won't lie - I was one of those people who was very critical of the choice to replace the departed Andy O'Brien with the despised Portland Timber, Pa Modou Kah. Kah wasn't that good during his time in Lower Cascadia, frakkin' scary imposing field presence notwithstanding, and I wasn't confident that Kendall Waston would be in a position to succeed without the reliable O'Brien covering for him.
Well, what a difference a season makes.
Fast forward to the 2015 off-season and Kah has emerged as an admirable third centre-back and a locker room presence unlike few others in Major League Soccer.
