Masato Kudo suffers concussion, taken to Vancouver General Hospital for further evaluation

VANCOUVER, BC – In the 11th minute of Wednesday’s match between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Chicago Fire, Japanese striker Masato Kudo suffered a concussion after a heavy collision with Fire goalkeeper Matt Lampson. Kudo bit his tongue and lip on the play, which made for a scary scene at BC Place. Fortunately, players and trainers from both sides were quick to respond.

Kudo was taken to Vancouver General Hospital for further evaluation. He was alert and aware.
