VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Wednesday that striker Kei Kamara has been called up to the Sierra Leone men’s national team for their Africa Cup of Nations home and away qualifiers versus Ghana.
The Leone Stars visit Ghana at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on October 11, before hosting the Black Stars at National Stadium in Freetown on October 14. Both teams sit on three points after two games in a wide open group with Kenya and Ethiopia.
Kamara has four goals in 27 appearances for the national team, most recently playing 90 minutes in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Ethiopia on September 9.
