Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team will head to Portugal with 23 players for its final tournament ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ that begins in June. Included on the roster are Whitecaps FC and BC Soccer Girls Elite Super REX products Jordyn Huitema and Julia Grosso.
At the 2019 Algarve Cup, Canada will face Iceland on Wednesday, February 27 followed by Scotland on Friday. March 1 before concluding the three-match competition with a final match on Wednesday, March 6 to determine its final rank in the tournament.
“We are bringing in a full squad of 23 players to take advantage of the multiple training sessions in addition to the three games of this tournament,” said Kenneth Heiner-Møller, Canada Soccer Women’s National Team Head Coach.
