Among more than 5,000 participants in Whitecaps FC camps across the country, 100 finalists were selected to take part in the first ever Whitecaps FC Skills Challenge finale at the National Soccer Development Centre last month.
Players were selected based on skills challenges performed at every Whitecaps FC camp this summer, and were selected based on their scores. Finalists travelled in from all over British Columbia, as well as Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
This Skills Challenge finale consisted of a final series of skills events at the Whitecaps FC training centre, as well as tour of the facility for players and parents and two tickets to the ‘Caps MLS home match that weekend.
