Related Topics: Canada, Octavio Zambrano

Earlier this week, Canada Soccer announced the official 23-man squad that Canada’s new senior national team head coach Octavio Zambrano would be bringing south of the border to compete in the 2017 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Devout Whitecaps FC fans will be excited to see some very familiar faces representing the Great White North in the competition. ‘Caps midfielders Russell Teibert and Alphonso Davies as well as left backs Marcel de Jong and Sam Adekugbe have all made the team and will be looking to help Canada into the knockout stages.

But while all eyes will be on the men’s senior team this July, Canada’s next generation of budding talent continues to develop within the Whitecaps FC 2 roster in the United Soccer League.
