Maxime Crépeau has been named to the MLS Team of the Week after setting an MLS single game record with 16 saves against San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, breaking a record that Tony Meola originally set in 1997.
This is the third time this season that the native of Candiac, Quebec has been named to the Team of the Week after back-to-back honours in Week 11 and Week 12.
Crépeau also topped the Audi Player Index with a league-best 1,992 points.
The ‘Caps are back in action on Wednesday when they take on Crépeau’s former club Montreal Impact in his hometown.
