CONCACAF Champions League: 'Caps remain in pole position as group play continues

The ‘Caps remain atop their group in CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) play after Sporting Kansas City and Central FC played to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night in Trinidad & Tobago.

After a scoreless first half, the two teams combined for three goals in five minutes early in the second frame. Seth Sinovic opened the scoring for SKC before Central FC responded with a pair of tallies from Marcus Joseph and Kenwyne Jones, who will join MLS expansion side Atlanta United in 2017. Then, in the 70th minute, Kevin Ellis potted the equalizer to salvage a point for Kansas City.
