A massive crowd at BC Place wasn't enough to propel Canada to a win in World Cup Qualifying action, as they fell to Mexico 3-0 on Friday night. Over 57,000 people were estimated to be at the match, but they would go home extremely disappointed, as the disjointed Canadians went down 2-0 in the span of a few minutes in the first half.
It looked like Canada would open the scoring in the 21st minute, when Canadian David Hoilett took a Julian De Guzman feed and found himself with some space about 8 yards out. His shot was well off target though, and the match would remain scoreless.
