Canadian Men’s National Team coach John Herdman announced his provisional 40-man roster for the upcoming Gold Cup. From these 40, the final 23-man roster will be decided by June 6th.
Vancouver Whitecaps have the most players announced, with five, followed by Montreal (four) and Toronto (3). Non-Canadian teams will also send players with three Orlando City players being announced, two from LAFC, and one from Chicago Fire.
In addition to those currently playing with Vancouver, former Caps Simon Thomas, Sam Adekugbe, David Edgar, and Alphonso Davies were also named to the provisional squad.
