Canada defeated Curaçao 4-0 on Thursday to advance to the Concacaf U-17 quarterfinals and within one win of qualifying for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil this fall.
Whitecaps FC players once again played a starring role in the victory. All six players from the club started for the Red and White, including centre backs Nathan Demian and Gianfranco Facchineri, right back Deylen Vellios, midfielders Damiano Pecile and Simon Colyn, and forward Kam Habibullah.
Already with a 1-0 lead, Habibullah scored on a penalty kick in the 74th minute to make it 2-0.
