David Edgar wasn’t the only Vancouver Whitecaps FC player who scored for his country on Tuesday night. Over in San Jose, Costa Rica, Christian Bolaños scored a pair of goals as Costa Rica put an exclamation mark on their World Cup Qualifying round with a 3-1 win over Panama.
The ‘Caps midfielder, who represented his country at the 2006 and 2014 FIFA World Cup tournaments, scored Costa Rica’s first two goals in the 19th and 79th minutes.
