Entering the 2018 Major League Soccer season, the biggest question on Vancouver Whitecaps fans’ minds was where Alphonso Davies would be transferred and for how much. As the season progressed the anticipated transfer fee increased. Many expected that news would come following the 2018 season, however, Bayern Munich put a quick end to the courtship by agreeing to a potential 22 million dollar transfer fee on July 25th. While Davies would not be eligible to play for Bayern until January 2019, shortly after the MLS season ended, in November, Phonzie headed over to Germany to begin training with the prestigious club.
