VANCOUVER, BC - Ali Adnan was named to the MLS Team of the Week following his performance in the 1-0 victory over LA Galaxy on Saturday, the league announced on Monday.
His offensive plays were key, as Adnan smartly got past a challenge near the left side of the Galaxy box and assisted Tosaint Ricketts who opened the scoring in the 74th minute of the match.
The assist capped off a performance that included a team-high 76 touches, and he also created two chances throughout the match. Ricketts was honoured with a bench selection for the game-winning goal.
