Alexander Ovechkin’s eleventh goal of the season and a pair from Tom Wilson led the Washington Capitals to a 5-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres last night. The 36 year old’s goal was the 741st of his NHL career, moving him into a fourth place tie with Brett Hull on the NHL all time goal scorers list. Ovi needs just 37 more to catch Jaromir Jagr for 3rd place, and the way he’s playing right now, that seems like something he can probably pull off this season. The Sabres have fallen back to earth after that fantastic start, losers of five straight now.
