Famed bodybuilder Charles Atlas liked to tell the story about being bullied as a kid and having sand kicked in his face at the beach.
Linden Vey can relate to that. The second-year Canucks centre felt like he got pushed around some last season and became a player he did not recognize.
Vey had always been a player who owned the puck down low. Suddenly, he was being knocked off it.
“I think through junior and even in the American League I was just so good down low with the puck,” Vey said after the Canucks practised Wednesday at the Pacific Coliseum.
