Last night, the Vancouver Canucks concluded their preseason with a win against the Edmonton Oilers. This morning, Jeff Paterson said the Canucks have placed forwards Jayson Megna and Michael Chaput on waivers for re-assignment to the Utica Comets.
It is worth noting goaltender Richard Bachman was also placed on waivers. This was expected as Jacob Markstrom and Anders Nilsson would be battling in the crease for the starter’s role this season.
Last season, Megna and l Chaput were brought in as depth forwards for the Utica Comets.
