The Vancouver Canucks had a three-game winning streak going into Thursday. Unfortunately for the fans at Rogers Arena, the boys in blue didn’t bother to show up, losing to the Flyers 4-1. On a positive note, the team’s prospects had a decent week.
As many have heard, the Canucks have one fewer prospect in the pool. Jim Benning moved Jordan Subban to the Kings in exchange for physical fourth liner Nic Dowd. Subban was struggling this year in Utica, having only five points in 16 games. This is good news for Jalen Chatfield, since the departure of Subban will give him a new opportunity to play more minutes for the Comets.
