The Vancouver Canucks have signed right winger Anton Rodin from the Swedish Hockey League to a one-year, $950k deal. This one-way contract will not mean that Rodin plays for the Canucks this season as Nikita Tryamkin has, as Rodin is currently nursing a broken leg that ended his season early.
Despite the early exit, Rodin has still managed to grab the league’s MVP award, otherwise known as the Golden Helmet award.
TonyG on Rodin: He was the best player in Sweden by about a hundred miles. This is a very good signing for the Canucks

Being drafted in the second round, 53rd overall in the 2009 NHL Draft by former GM Mike Gillis, Rodin has yet to play a single game in the NHL.
