The Vancouver Canucks took down the rival Calgary Flames 5-2 on Wednesday night at Rogers Arena, moving to 1-0-0 on the season and extending an impressive winning streak.
Per NHL PR, the Canucks won their fifth consecutive season opener, which is now the longest streak in the NHL.

The Canucks streak started in 2014-15 when they defeated the Flames 4-2 on the road in the season opener.
