Although short, few Canucks fans were complaining about the performances of defencemen Brogan Rafferty and Josh Teves when they suited up for the Vancouver Canucks late last season. The two were both signed out of the NCAA with Teves coming from Princeton University, and Rafferty coming from Quinnipiac University.
Teves played in all but one game with the Canucks, which turned out to be a 5-4 loss at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks. All eyes were on Teves that game, and the young defenceman surely had to try to suppress his nerves as he was coming off the heels of a final exam at Princeton just a couple weeks before being thrown into an NHL game.
