The Vancouver Canucks are giving young forward Nikolay Goldobin another chance to prove himself, as the 23-year-old signed a one-year pact worth $900,000, per the team’s official site.
It was only a matter of time until the Canucks and Goldobin agreed to a deal. With one RFA out of the way, the Canucks now turn to 22-year-old Brock Boeser — who remains unsigned with training camp drawing closer.
The Canucks acquired Goldobin and a conditional draft pick in a trade with the San Jose Sharks back at the 2017 trade deadline for veteran Jannik Hansen.
