The Vancouver Canucks completed another task during a very busy week, as the team announced that they have re-signed forward Josh Leivo to a one-year deal worth $1.5 million.
The Canucks acquired Leivo from the Toronto Maple Leafs in a December trade, sending forward Michael Carcone the other way. Prior to the trade, Leivo had four goals and six points in 27 games for Toronto.
He was drafted 86th overall in 2011, appearing in 84 games over six different seasons for the Maple Leafs. Toronto had to make room amid a logjam at forward.
