Quinn Hughes was drafted with the No. 7 selection by the Vancouver Canucks nine months ago, and the time has arrived for the 19-year-old.
On Thursday morning, Hughes confirmed that he would make his debut in Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings, per the Canucks’ official Twitter account.
An ankle bruise — suffered during the Big 10 playoffs — kept Hughes sidelined, thus holding back his NHL debut. But the smooth-skating University of Michigan product is finally recovered and healthy, and his arrival comes at a nice time for the banged-up Canucks.
