Michael DiPietro is proving that the Vancouver Canucks goaltending debacle of February is having little to no effect on his development. After being called up on an emergency basis, DiPietro was forced to make his NHL debut against a red-hot San Jose Sharks team, who scored seven goals on him.
Some people figured that the less than ideal debut for DiPietro would ruin his confidence and development. While it’s still just the OHL, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as DiPietro has picked up right where he left off and proved that he is one of, if not the most dominant goalie in junior hockey.
