Vancouver Canucks forward Josh Leivo was among the handful of bright spots during another non-playoff season in 2018-19, and the 25-year-old is headed for RFA status.
Leivo was acquired by the Canucks in a December trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Michael Carcone. Leivo became the odd man out on a Toronto team that simply had too many forwards, and head coach Mike Babcock didn’t have much use for him.
In 49 games with the Canucks, Leivo tallied 10 goals and 18 points. He also posted a solid 53.
