Through their first eight games, the Vancouver Canucks already look a lot better in just about every aspect of the game.
The Canucks have received excellent goaltending from the duo of Jacob Markstrom and Thatcher Demko. Newcomer Tyler Myers has played a big role in reshaping the blue line thus far, while offseason trade acquistion J.T. Miller shared the scoring lead with Elias Pettersson (eight points apiece).
Vancouver doesn’t come without its flaws. The power play could be better, and they need a lot more out of their bottom six forwards, which I wrote about here.
