After four days off, the Vancouver Canucks went returned home and picked up three of four points, losing to the Arizona Coyotes in overtime on Thursday before defeating the Florida Panthers 5-1 three nights later.
Now, the surprising Canucks sit at 21-21-5 and are tied with the Minnesota Wild for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and three points behind the Colorado Avalanche for the seventh seed. It should be noted that the Wild have two games in hand on the Canucks, while the Avs have one.
But with a fairly easy and manageable schedule down the stretch, the Canucks are in great position to gain more ground and take a serious run at the postseason.
