The Vancouver Canucks compiled a losing record for a third straight year in 2017-2018, but despite their continued struggles to return to respectability, there is much for Vancouver hockey fans to be hopeful about as they look to next season.
Vancouver scorers bulged the twine on 218 occasions last season. That marks a dramatic improvement over a year ago, when the club established a new franchise low, scoring just 182 goals, leaving them ranked 29th in the NHL.
Bo Horvat continued to show steady improvement in his fourth NHL campaign, while Brock Boeser emerged as the early favorite to claim Calder Trophy honours as the NHL’s top rookie.
