Throughout their history, Vancouver Canucks have rarely turned a player professional in the same year they drafted him, but defenceman Quinn Hughes could be an exception this upcoming season.
Taken with the seventh-overall pick in this year’s draft, the smooth-skating Hughes has the tools to be an immediate impact player for the Canucks, should they decide to put him in the NHL right away.
But according to Rick Dhaliwal of Sportsnet 650, the Canucks have yet to make a decision on Hughes for the 2018-19 season.
