The Vancouver Canucks already signed one of their prospects from the University of Michigan this season in the form of Quinn Hughes. While there was some hope that the Canucks would sign another prospect from Michigan, Will Lockwood, the young forward decided to play out his fourth year in the NCAA next season.
Lockwood was selected in the third round at 64th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Canucks. EliteProspects says that Lockwood is a hard-nosed two-way winger that thinks ahead of the play and seeks to be proactive whenever he is on the ice.
