If rock bottom hadn’t been reached already, the Vancouver Canucks hit it on Saturday, when they surrendered five first period goals en route to a 6-2 home loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
With the loss, the Canucks fell to 1-3-0 in March — and 28-32-9. Heading into this month, everybody knew Vancouver would have to get on a big winning streak if they had any last hope of making the postseason. But once again, this team is going to fall short in qualifying for the spring party.
The month of March, for some reason, has just been downright horrible for the Canucks since the 2013-14 campaign.
