The 2016 NHL All-Star Game was all about St. John’s IceCaps forward John Scott — and rightfully so. When the NHL tried to veto the fans’ Pacific captain vote, everyone turned against them and supported Scott through that once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Had it not been for Scott, though, Vancouver Canucks left winger Daniel Sedin easily should have been the All-Star Game MVP.
It all starts with the fact that Daniel is the fourth-best Pacific Division scorer, and almost a top-10 scorer in the league, at 44 points so far this season. Even at age 35, he is one of the league’s elite scorers.
