The Vancouver Canucks and forward Brandon Prust have come to a mutual decision to terminate his season due to a lingering ankle injury. Prust’s season as a Canuck came to an end when he was waived down to the Utica Comets in early February.

Prust’s ankle injury needed surgery in the offseason. Prust never got a firm handle on the 2015-16 season as he once again injured his ankle while playing against his former team, the Montreal Canadiens.
