Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning has completed the bulk of his offseason tasks, having rebuilt his defence while adding two more capable top six forwards.
Benning acquired J.T. Miller in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning before signing pesky forward Micheal Ferland to a four-year deal worth $14 million. On defence, he added Tyler Myers, Jordie Benn and Oscar Fantenberg in free agency.
Now, Benning has just one giant task left on his list, and that’s to re-sign RFA Brock Boeser.
