With Henrik and Daniel Sedin retired, the Vancouver Canucks need somebody to step up and lead the locker room as they transition towards the post-twins era, but the team hasn’t decided who that will be yet.
But in a recent interview with Sportsnet’s John Shannon, general manager Jim Benning said that the Canucks will decide on the captaincy before the 2018-19 regular season begins. However, he did warn that it’s possible they decide not to name captain.
