Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning has completed two of his three major offseason tasks — now he just has to re-sign 22-year-old RFA Brock Boeser.
Benning found a new top six winger in J.T. Miller via trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning, thus addressing the need for more secondary scoring. He also made long overdue changes to the blue line by signing Tyler Myers, Jordie Benn and Oscar Fantenberg.
But now, the Canucks only have about $5.569 million in cap space, according to CapFriendly.
