Coming out of Jacob Markstrom‘s performance against Russia at the World Cup of Hockey, Vancouver Canucks fans were begging for him to be the starting goalie this year. GM Jim Benning was quick to quell that notion when he told TSN 1040 that Ryan Miller would be the starting goalie.
“Let’s make no mistake about that, first and foremost, Ryan’s our No. 1 goalie. He’s a guy that, he has the experience, he had a good season for us last year. But I feel we have two real good goalies and that’s a strength of our team.
