Vancouver Canucks netminder Jacob Markstrom has rejoined the team after missing the last two games as he dealt with a family matter, per Patrick Johnston of the Vancouver Province.
Without Markstrom, the Canucks turned to backup Thatcher Demko — who pieced together a pair of impressive performances. He led the Canucks to a 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night, then followed it up with a 4-3 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues.
Per Johnson, Markstrom was with the Canucks when they practiced in New Jersey on Friday ahead of their Saturday morning game against Jack Hughes and the Devils.
