The Vancouver Canucks are a work in progress, with an larger font necessary to emphasize “work”, and a smaller font to underscore the lack of “progress”. They finished seventh in the Pacific Conference for the second consecutive season last year, but won one more game and lost three fewer games.
That said, team president Trevor Linden and GM Jim Benning have survived a slew of slings and arrows from Canucks fans since both took on their roles four summers ago, and the franchise is facing its first year without the retired Sedin Twins since 2000-01.
