The Vancouver Canucks have successfully sent forward Reid Boucher down to the Utica Comets, without losing him through waivers. After cutting him from the main camp yesterday, the Canucks will now have him begin the year with the American Hockey League’s Utica Comets.
Boucher, 24, is very familiar with the waivers process as he was put on the waivers three times last season thanks to the New Jersey Devils and the Nashville Predators. The forward, known for his heavy wrist shot, struggled through camp and preseason, with fitness re-emerging as an issue once again.
