Vancouver Canucks: Dorsett, Markstrom lead victory over Sabres

The Vancouver Canucks may not take much pride in beating the lowly one-win Buffalo Sabres 4-2 on Friday night, but they should. This was another excellent and complete performance, and it was a vintage way to rebound from that ugly 6-3 loss against the Boston Bruins.

It wasn’t Bo Horvat, Brock Boeser or the Sedins that led the Canucks to victories. This time, it was career fourth-liner Derek Dorsett and goalie Jacob Markstrom — who rightfully earned the starting job in this one.

Dorsett scored Vancouver’s second and fourth goals (via empty net), and assisted on Markus Granlund‘s first goal of the season.
