At the Vancouver Canucks prospects camp last week, one name certainly made an impression on Canuck legend Stan Smyl. 17-year old Czech right winger Lukas Jasek showed great potential and was considered a pleasant surprise. Drafted 174th overall at this year’s NHL draft, Jasek currently plays for HC Ocelari Trinec of the Czech Extraliga.
Last season his points total may not look pretty as Jasek only scored two assists in 27 regular season games. Do not be fooled though, at his young age getting game time in the Extraliga is an impressive feat in itself.
