On Monday evening, the Vancouver Canucks were finally able to agree to a new contract with Brock Boeser — a three-year worth an average of $5.875 million per season.
Finally, two and a half months after free agency opened, general manager Jim Benning was able to complete his last major offseason task. And the three-year bridge deal is a major win-win for all parties involved: Boeser, Benning, agent Ben Hankinson and of course the entire Canucks organization.
Boeser didn’t get the four-year deal worth $7 million per season that his camp was reportedly seeking.
